Clingman Hamfest Policy

All dealers, exhibitors, outside tailgate participants and others are to follow the following rules and procedures as listed below by the Clingman Hamfest & The Clingman Community Center:

All dealers, exhibitors and outside tailgate participants are fully responsible for collecting and reporting all federal, state and local taxes.

Smoking is not permitted inside the facility buildings or within ten feet of any building entry which is utilized for the Hamfest event.

The back door to the facility is for EMERGENCY USE ONLY. There will be NO loading in or loading out permitted. You MUST use the front door.

The sale of inappropriate items such as knives, guns, explosives, dangerous chemicals, unlicensed software, videotapes, pornographic materials and other items that are inappropriate shall not be exhibited or offered for sale. This includes any radio equipment that is not compliant with FCC Rules and Regulations.

Animals are allowed under leash, as well as properly marked service animals for our disabled patrons or for medical alert purposes. The individual shall be responsible for their animals actions and shall not hold the Clingman Community Center or the Clingman Hamfest liable for any actions done by their animal.

Signage or other items are not to be attached by any damaging means at the facility for advertising or display, (this includes tape and adhesives that may leave a residue) unless approved by the Clingman Hamfest staff. (Hint: Painter's tape is usually ok to use, duct tape is not.)

Electrical cords must be properly secured and if crossing a walkway shall be marked with approved safety / caution tape, so as to prevent a trip hazard or other injury. Again, you are responsible for your actions and you will be held liable for anyone being injured due to your negligence.

Neither the Clingman Hamfest nor the Clingman Community Center shall be held responsible for any warranty, fitness of purpose or the condition of items sold by either the inside dealers, exhibitors or those in the outside tailgate area. Furthermore, neither the Clingman Hamfest nor the Clingman Community Center shall be held liable for any injury occurring to participants at the event. (Although, if you ask nicely, we can provide you with a band-aid for a small boo-boo if needed.)

All dealers, exhibitors, outside tailgate participants and those setting up, shall not leave unsold merchandise, boxes, and other trash upon their departure.

For any of our Prize Drawings and Door Prizes, you must present your ticket stub to the Clingman Hamfest Staff member to claim your winning prize. Extra tickets can be purchased from the admissions table inside the front entrance.

Anyone causing problems, (disturbances) that violate City, County, State Law or the above mentioned hamfest policy, will be asked to leave by the Clingman Hamfest staff and shall forfeit any prizes or refund. Any failure to abide by the hamfest staffs decisions will be immediately turned over to the County Sheriff for additional handling.
